What grade did you get? I got an “”A”". Really? Boy, I’d hate to be you. I got a “”C”". Why on earth would you rather get a “”C”" than an “”A”"?! I find my life is a lot easier the lower I keep everyone’s expectations. In school, Calvin asks Susie what grade she got on her test. Susie’s proud to say she got an “A”. Calvin mocks Susie and says he got a way better “C”. Susie doesn’t understand. Calvin explains that his life is a lot easier when people don’t expect a lot of him.
Well, perhaps the path to happiness contains a bunch of “C”s. Lucky are those who have them.
